Dreams

Dreams are such funny things aren't they? I believe that everyone and everything dreams.

Alice and Betsy for instance, just a few minutes after they drift off they are on some fantastic adventure. Alice, who sleeps with her eyes open (which kind of freaks me out), runs, huffs, barks and wags her tail often in her sleep. Cole and I suppose she is chasing Betsy. Betsy on the other hand whimpers in her sleep. Cole and I suppose that she is trying to get away from Alice.

Speaking of Cole. I am so happy he has wonderful dreams. He laughs his way through the night. Not just little giggles. Big belly laughs. So hard that it actually gets me and Steve laughing. It is very rare that my little man will have a bad dream, that makes me happy. 

My darling husband swears he doesn't dream. I am sure he does he just doesn't pay attention! Color me surprised!

I on the other hand will have some of the strangest dreams. I get visits from long gone relatives, movie stars, and pets. I dream about work often. Which I want on the record I believe is very unfair! Work all night in my dream and then have to get up and go to work. Geesh! 

Last night I dreamt that I was getting married. Don't worry it was Steve. We were at a bed and breakfast. Cole was there! I had a very ugly yellow 1950's prom gown as my dress. We were getting ready to leave for the ceremony and a white duck got into the room and pooped all over my dress. Cole thought it was hysterical, Steve was annoyed and I was relieved that I got to wear jeans!

It was so realistic that when I got up I immediately went into the bathroom and looked into the mirror to make sure I looked ok! Then I really woke up and got ready for work. Which is where I better go now!

We are up with..........

an ear ache. Poor little guy. He has such nasty wax buildup anyhow and then he got water in them today. I knew tonight we would be up. Steve and I put Debrox in them trying to get them to drain but we are up anyhow. Our Dr is off on Friday's. Of course. Steve and Cole always get sick on Friday's! It never fails. I will have Steve call tomorrow and see if we can get something over the phone and then go in on Saturday. Since I was up I decided to upload pics. Here you go...

Busy Day

"Whew! What a busy day we had", uttered one very sleepy and hyper (sugar overload) 5 year old as his mother was trying to wrestle him to bed! "It was a busy day" declared his mother, "now it is time to go to sleep". "But I am not tired" whined the little boy, "I still have lots to do". "Like what" questioned his very irritated mother? "I dunno, wanna thumb wrestle" asked the little boy?

We did have a very busy day, and I have pictures to prove it. We started off the day playing 2000 rounds of Connect 4, watching Pokemon and finishing a cute birthday gift for my friend Martha (whose bday was last week). We then decided that we wanted to bake a cake or two. This would require a trip to the store. While we there we decided to get groceries also. We thought it might be a good idea......you know......eating this week. We are not particularly found of shopping so the cupboards were bare. Not even a bone. We got home and baked and baked and bake. We made a cheesecake and  a yellow cake with chocolate frosting.......from scratch! I got the recipes off of The Backpacking Cakester's blog down in my blog roll. You will have to check out her site! She is a genius! Ok. I better get the van warmed up and head off to work. Have a good one everybody!
